Sky News host Paul Murray says there are swathes of the media who are “addicted to the terror” and hype of coronavirus, and will continue to find ways to keep people petrified.
Mr Murray pointed to the recent outrage in Queensland over two teenage Queensland girls, who crossed back over the border after returning from Melbourne with the coronavirus.
Health officials have now ruled out that any second wave in the state will be linked at all to the teenagers.
“The media never follows up, they never tell you. Instead they want to find a way to keep you petrified,” Mr Murray said.
“Tragedy is not entertainment.
“How can truth get any chance.”
